I have over 12 years experience as a clinical therapist, three years as a clinical supervisor. In addition to my clinical experience I have over ten years experience with different ministries, including pastoral counseling, youth ministries, jail ministries and recovery ministries. I am a graduate of Boise State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication with a minor in psychology; I went on to earn my Masters of Arts is in Counseling with emphasis on addiction. Continued studies with Somatic Experiencing (SE) I completed a 260 hour study through Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute with intense study on a natural technique to help people recovery from trauma and other mental health struggles. Specializing in SE, CBT, and mindfulness I currently serve as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, ADHD, and much more.
My therapeutic approach is to connect, provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I will integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
Personally I am passionate about the outdoors; I love to run and put my feet in the ice cold Boise river. I have been married for 35 years and enjoy walks with my wife and spending time with my family and my dog Riley. I love to travel and get a marathon in from time to time in different places. My wife and two adult daughters are vegetarian, and though I eat meat occasionally I love to experiment with vegetarian cuisine as it gives me more energy and better eating habits.
